River Road Church needed someone who would be able to pick up on the nuances of their culture. With a history that goes back to 1946, the church is grounded in tradition. On the other hand, RRC fosters growth, encourages “informed faith,” has a deep appreciation for transformational musical services and has an activities calendar that is definitely relevant, current and modern.
I picked up the challenge and, while working within perimeters set by an established website, designed a traditional and reflective logo and paired it with a modern and fresh business system. Using spot UV varnishes, I subliminally introduced the church’s initials (rrc) in the rippling water icon to represent the River Road Church focus on outreach.
